3M Hookit Purple are abrasive discs on a finish foil for matting surfaces before painting and removing inclusions and excess orange peel from top coats.

For a uniform finish, use the 3M Hookit Purple 260L Abrasive Discs on Finish Foil - discs with high-speed, long-lasting aluminum oxide mineral abrasives. Use them to sand the top coat to uniformity and to remove inclusions and excess orange peel from the top coat finish before repainting or polishing. The discs can be easily removed from the mounting pads. They are faster and easier to use than matting pads, and faster and cleaner than wet sanding. Use to mat the surface before painting.
